I had a wonderful stay at this holiday cottage in a quiet location with stunning sea views. The cottage was very comfortable, with spacious bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. I enjoyed relaxing in the lounge in the evenings and taking in the beautiful scenery. The location was perfect, just a short drive into Kirkwall and close to the Italian Chapel. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed for a great week's holiday. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful welcome package and the extra touches like providing outdoor games for the kids. I highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.
One minor drawback was that the local shop closed at 2pm, so when I arrived late afternoon, there was nowhere to buy food or even a pint of milk. It would be helpful if there was an option to order/pay for immediate essentials for late arrivals.

Loved watching the sea from the lounge, but I especially enjoyed the free private parking onsite. I mean, who doesn't love a good parking space?
Oh, it's such a shame that I couldn't enjoy fishing, hiking, or sightseeing while watching the flat-screen TV in the lounge. Such a missed opportunity.

The location of Glenduron-By-Sea was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the stunning view of the sea and the seals on the rocks was a true delight. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities. I particularly enjoyed the energy efficiency features and the easy access to recycling. The ample parking made it convenient for us to have a hire car. The proximity to the bus stop was also a bonus.
Although the single beds were a bit hard for my liking, it was a minor issue considering everything else was perfect. The heating system was a bit touchy, but we managed to find a comfortable temperature eventually.

Everything was perfect! The cottage had fabulous views of the sea and we felt right at home. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel welcome. We loved exploring the Orkney Islands, and the location of the cottage was excellent for traveling around. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a great holiday. We especially enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and the comfortable beds.
One minor issue was the lack of background heating in the bathroom, which made it difficult to dry towels. It would have been helpful to have a heated towel rail.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely holiday cottage with breathtaking views out to sea. The cottage was extremely comfortable, with cozy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The peaceful location allowed for a relaxing getaway, and it was convenient to have a local shop nearby. The owner's warm welcome was a nice touch. we highly recommend this cottage for a perfect vacation by the sea.
Although the heating and hot water were not very effective, using the extra heater provided solved the issue. The entrance to the driveway was tight, making it difficult in wintry conditions.

I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage by the sea. The views were absolutely stunning and the cleanliness of the property was impeccable. It had everything I needed for a perfect week's holiday. Despite some tourist spots being closed, there was still plenty to see and do in the area. I discovered a great fishmonger in Kirkwall and visited the Orkney cheese factory for some delicious specialty cheese. I also had a memorable seafood meal at the Murray Arms in St. Margaret's Hope. The location of the cottage was excellent for both enjoying the view and exploring Orkney. It was also great to have a shop conveniently located just a few meters away. a wonderful experience at Glenduron-By-Sea Villa.
